Heart Space Holistic and those that serve and share space here acknowledge the Muscogee (Creek) people who lived, worked, produced knowledge on, and nurtured the land where Studioplex and Atlanta are now located. In 1821, 84 years before the southeastern cotton warehouse (now known as Studioplex) was built, the Muscogee were forced to relinquish this land. 

We recognize the sustained oppression, land dispossession, and involuntary removals of the Muscogee and Cherokee peoples from Georgia and the Southeast. We come with respect for the land that we are on today, and for the Muscogee (Creek) people who have and do reside here. 

This land has been stewarded by Indigenous people since time immemorial. We recognize the painful history upon which Georgia was created and how policies, systems and structures continue to oppress Indigenous peoples today. 

We support and defend the rights of all Indigenous peoples to retain their specific culture and religious traditions. We strive to honor Indigenous culture and traditions and when possible and appropriate, integrate Indigenous world views and values into our approaches and strategies. 

We seek to honor the Muscogee Nation and other Indigenous caretakers of this land by humbly seeking knowledge of their histories and committing to respectful stewardship of the land.
